NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU

This song
has been called by VH1 as one of the Top 100 Songs of 90’s, for good reason. It’s one of the best made songs lyrically and musically. It’s music is haunting, almost pained, and you could feel the passion behind the lyrics. It talks of an experience we’re all familiar with–the painful memory of goodbye, the love that could have been perfect, and the tragedy of the one that got away.

Written by Prince for the band called The Family in the 1980's, the song only appeared on their self titled album, was not released as a single and received little recognition.

But in 1990, Irish singer Sinead Oconnor recorded her own version and become a worldwide hit. Another amazing rendition of the song comes from the band Stereophonics for the charity of War Child Music (2005).

WE ARE THE WORLD (2010 version)

The new version of this 1985 classic hit received mix reviews when it was premiered worldwide on February 12, 2010 during the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

But regardless of what the critics are saying, we have to appreciate many of today's artist who were very willing to donate their time and God given gift to lend help, and spread awareness & love to the people of Haiti through a common thread...and that is MUSIC.

THE WAY U LOOK TONIGHT

You probably heard about the movie Valentine's Day, one of the most star-studded film shown in the movie theaters this year. Just like the movie, the soundtrack has also a good line-up of musicians like Jewel, Taylor Swift, Willie Nielson and Amy Winehouse all appear on it. But my favorite track in the album comes from the band Maroon 5 as they take their own twist of Frank Sinatra's The Way You Look Tonight.

Hear it below:

Getting Cheezy!

Originally performed by
Laura Branigan in 1983, it was later recorded by the one who writes the song and my favorite male artist in early 90's... Michael Bolton.

More cheezy songs here:

LOVE IS A GOOD THING

ONLY YOU CAN LOVE ME THIS WAY

FOREVER AND ALWAYS

IT'S YOUR LOVE
